" Some people say that what makes a person a victim is that they have limited or NO options how to act"
What do you think about this statement. Do you think that victims of anything have choices or don't they have anything? And would you describe a person in such a situation a victim?
A person in such a situation is a victim because in most the situations in which a person becomes a victim, he or she doesn't have so many choices For example, when somebody takes away your rights, you only have two choices. The first choice is to go against the person that is mistreating you. You should tell hm or fight for your rights. One of the examples would be many freedom fighters of different countries like Mahatma Gandhi etc. The second choice would we to flee away or get away from the person.
Furthermore, I will be speaking about the Jews in holocaust period in Germany, when they were the victims of Adolf Hitler. What all choices did they have? Like above, they only have two choices. Those two choices which they have are to go against Hitler or get out of Germany. If they don't do any of these they will be put in concentration camps.
The first choice of The jew, to go against Hitler. It is not a good choice because when they are doing it, they are risking their lives. The best choice for them is to go away from Germany. That would be the safest choice for the jews at that time. But they also will have other problems doing this. One such example is they will have personal problems. The second problem is, " Where will they go?". Most of the countries have not accepted Jews to immgrate there. So that's one of the main reason in which Jews could not be free.
As I write all these, I conclude that I strongly believe that what makes a person a victim is that they have no limited choices or no choice. I have learned these through many of my own experience and by studying the holocaust period
